Because she's a Bubasti, one of the rarer tribes. Also, her parents left Egypt and never looked back, which is something...not exactly Done as one of that tribe. Or, well, her <i>father</i> did, since he was both Homid and Kinfolk, and her mother...<br /><br />That's better left unsaid.<br /><br />As a Bastet, she'd be cautious anyway. As a Bubasti, she's damn near paranoid. Considering she was born a cat, she's not given much to being chatty, but she's making her way in the humans' world as best she can. Most werecats are <i>damn</i> pretty anyway, and Sand is no different; cultivating the mystique has her moonlighting as a model. It pays the bills, but her heart is definitely not in it.<br /><br />Voicetesting, of course.
